HUNTR
United States
Приєднався 29 бер 2013
HUNTR is the project we should have started years ago… Born out of the minds of passionate hunters, land managers, and entrepreneurs, we look to deviate from the traditional hunting show model by engaging individuals with unique insight into the lifestyle of a hunter and sharing our experiences via the HUNTR Podcast.
Our passion lies with bowhunting mature whitetail bucks on land we’re able to impact or manage throughout the year, whether owned, leased, or by gaining permission. However, as we continue to grow as hunters and as men, we’re forced to acknowledge that that’s not the case and may not even possible for everyone. So, with the hopes of gaining further insight and perspective on our first love and to broaden our view to those aspects of deer hunting we may have overlooked up until this point, we’ve made it our mission to have meaningful conversation with hunters from all over the board to better understand WHY WE DO IT.
Focused. Passionate. Creative.

The Corn Piles Need to Go w/ Hunter's Advocate of Ohio | HUNTR Podcast #189
In this episode of HUNTR Podcast, we're joined by Kevin and Javin Mullet of Hunters Advocate of Ohio to discuss a topic that's near and dear to our hearts. As guys who own farms in the state of Ohio, we are very passionate about managing the whitetail deer population at a state level. We've had many guests on to talk about the future of hunting in Ohio, and how we as hunters can make a difference for a better hunting experience. Kevin and Javin have taken the initiative to start their organization, and really focus on being the voice for outdoorsmen and women to be heard in the state of Ohio. We've talked a lot about banning baiting in Ohio, and why we feel the way we do about it. There's only so much you can do to maintain a healthy deer population, and as hunters it's up to us to do that. Please check out Hunters Advocate of Ohio's website to learn more and join the fight for a better tomorrow. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

I think coyotes needs addressed they are getting out of hand
Baiting for turkeys is not legal in OHIO-I looked it up this year "it is illegal to hunt wild turkeys with bait in Ohio during the 2024 spring turkey season. This includes hunting in or over a baited area, which is considered baited for 10 days after all bait has been removed."
Still people can bait during the season if they don’t hunt turkeys
Why don't you guys do other content? Like gym days, cooking videos, gear videos, crazy stories videos like how'd Jared lose his finger? Dude I'm 33 and have the craziest stories from the 90s I'm about to start making videos about. People wanna hear about this stuff lol lucky us.
Haha we know but this one was a long time coming
Landowners --Tax payers should have a voice regarding the resource.
Really uneducated take
What are your guys thoughts on corn piles/supplemental feeding during the spring/summer months to inventory your herd?
What about using the drone to carry you to land locked public areas???
I still don't understand why Matt and Steve are not close, why are they estranged?. What happened??
What is their difference of opinion? Just curious.
Drones and Crossbows cell cams Beta males and you know it dont forget your purse not your pack
The bulk of the hang ons going through brush get me. I can get in the woods to my tree much more stealthy with a saddle set up. No question on the comfort though. To each their own, I couldn’t care less what people hunt in.
Same "regular" people who say they cannot afford hunting due to being middle class etc. many drive cars and trucks they cannot afford, eat fast food, and spend more than they make.....quit WHINING!
lol love how 9 acres turns into 30 😂
Name one time in human history that we didn't adopt new tools and technology to hunt with. Its been a long time since I've seen anyone hunting on foot with a frame pack. They're all on ATVs. Almost no one is out with spears, bow and arrow, or muskets anymore, but I respect the hell out of those who are. Everything is lighter, works dependably, and makes the hunt easier than ever. Drones sound ridiculous, but it might be the key to some old men getting to go out again after thinking that part of life was over, or disabled veterans. Some will use it as a tool, others to be lazy. No different than anything else
Nothing but a bunch of bums out here!!!
I hated the idea of a saddle. Didn't agree with it, thought I'd get busted. Had the chance to try one and I'll never hunt public in a normal lock on again. And as far as trees go, you can't cut stuff in public, so that cedar I shot a doe out of last Year would be impossible to hang a stand in without some level of cutting or not having it level.
You have to figure time to drive to airport, pack the plane, do preflight check, get to the next airport and have a vehicle to drive to your destination 🤔
I get similar results approaching women.
What I hear is we didn’t buy good broadheads and definitely didn’t have them sharp. That’s where they shine because yes there are terrible fixed blades and people lose animals to them. Bad broadheads and bad broadheads.
It’s a smart move.. saves injury and allows someone to hunt that may not have the opportunity or help .. I see positive but limited use.. besides hunters are still arguing over recurve vs compound.. 🤦🏼♂️😝😝
Crossing the line of fair chase
I used to be against it. But it allows you to get an idea of the age of your herd and helps you go after the older ones.
You know what they’ve always said about opinions…
We’ll that’s enough internet for today!
All these problems are created by government. Ask not what the government can do for you.
Thank god i know about the only piece of public land that’s gotten significantly better the last decade 🤷♂️
If it wasnt for Steven Rinella and other hunting icons there wouldn't have been enough money and people to fight against the animal humpers trying to keep everyone from hunting in general... he owes his current situation to his brothers success... noone would care what he even says if he wasnt given an image by his brother...
Is the DA who wouldn't return calls for 2-1/2 months a Democrat?
The day hunters start getting dropped off to their tree stands by a damn drone like it’s a Fortnite game might be the day I hang the bow up 😳 I’m not one of those hardcore tough guys where you have to do everything the toughest way possible but this is just plain stupid IMO
This podcast is trash
Is Mike Yoder a breakaway Amish ? Yoder is a big Amish name.
I'll preface this by saying I am a golf course superintendent for the last 25 years. I have a degree in plant and soil science from UMass. The way you are advertising your liquid fertilizers is misleading. There is not a liquid fertilizer that can be taken up by the foliage. At the molecular level, nutrients are too large to enter into plant stomates. All nutrients, whether granular or liquid are absorbed by the root system. We went through a "true foliar" fad in golf a long time ago. It has been disproven scientifically. You absolutely positively have to treat your soils right. You should be using a good organic fertilizer, and going to a no-till operation. You should be trying to promote soil microbiology. You are killing your soils by tilling if indeed that's what you are doing. I don't know if that's what you are doing. A good organic fertilizer like a composted chicken manure should be the mainstay or backbone of your fertility program. Foliar fertilizers are a nice supplement if you're growing grass on a golf course. Completely unnecessary in a food plot situation unless you're into lighting money on fire. Soil pH 100% matters when you are growing plants. You aren't getting around pH by spraying a foliar fert. Why would you ever want to anyway? Any form of calcium is super cheap. Plants are rooted into the ground for a reason. They take up their all of the nutrients and water from there. Not the foliage. A good organic fertilizer feeds soil microbes. Over time soil microbe populations will increase to a point where you're getting free nitrogen from microbial excrement. You should develop a humus layer in your soil if you go to a no till operation. This is your carbon source. Carbon is the backbone of life on earth. Soil included. I'll gladly point you to the research and university professors who have disproven "foliar technology"
Are the molecules of herbicides smaller than foliar lime and fertilizer?
I hunt in Deep South Texas and I have watched waterholes (and they are pretty scarce around here) and I’ve seen a few does and some small bucks but not any mature bucks. They might go at night but they don’t go during the day.
Y’all should interview Joe Biden
I think you should have to prove disability to use a crossbow
Next they’ll be shooting game from drones! Fuck drones don’t be a PUSSY! if you can’t get the game out then you shouldn’t be hunting in that area.
Lazy
You can't use drones for hunting period i think.
It's Smart if you can Do it that way to get it back out in Real thick wood's.
This is the Epitome of american dad sitting behind a computer screen clicking buttons to kill dear and calling it hunting. You explain to me how not carrying your own game out of a thicket not getting soft id like to see that debate
Their testing drones right now to carry wounded soldiers from the front lines to the friendly lines
I don't understand this hunting culture that seems to hate hunting. Just stay home if you're using a drone to pack out
Yea, no. I hope to god this doesn't take off
Kentucky game commission is talking hard about drones as of now.
Look into Huawei phones. If anyone has doubts about our technology’s ability to harvest information and send it to the cloud, they are sadly misinformed. You just have to choose which entity gets your data. The government doesn’t care about cornering a market…they care about cornering the data.
So what happens to Steve Sherk and his cameras on public
1:33:00 there's more truth behind that than we could probably ever imagine. And anytime you bring it up to anybody everybody just shrugs their shoulders and says so. But nobody would have ever said that 10 to 15 years ago.
Always interested when you have Mike on.
The engineers for DJI are also the ones for a huge 3d printing company Bambu Labs and they basically have the market taken over
If you’re too lazy to pack it, you don’t deserve to hunt it. Ruining it for the men willing to put in the work. Ran into this before where a guy wanted to hunt at the back but then decided to drive his truck through my hunt in an area closed to vehicles. The conservation officer and sheriff were waiting at the highway for him.
